The TTAVCC Branch Associations are responsible for managing and developing the Regional Branches. This involves overseeing the operations of the branches, ensuring that they are functioning effectively, and implementing programs and initiatives to support their growth and development.
In addition to managing the Regional Branches, the TTAVCC Branch Associations also indirectly manages and develops the individual Village and Community Councils. This involves working with the councils to identify their needs and priorities, and providing support and resources to help them achieve their goals.
The Trinidad and Tobago Association of Village and Community Councils are a proud body of genuine, hard-working members serving communities for more than a decade of committed service.
The Caroni Branch Association of the TTAVCC manages the affairs of the registered Unit Councils within the Caroni regional area.
The Nariva/Mayaro Branch Association of the TTAVCC manages the affairs of the registered Unit Councils within the Nariva/Mayaro regional area.
The Saint Andrews Branch Association of the TTAVCC manages the affairs of the registered Unit Councils within the Saint Andrews regional area.
The Saint David Branch Association of the TTAVCC manages the affairs of the registered Unit Councils within the Saint David regional area.
The Saint George East Branch Association of the TTAVCC manages the affairs of the registered Unit Councils within the Saint George East regional area.
The Saint George West Branch Association of the TTAVCC manages the affairs of the registered Unit Councils within the Saint George West regional area.
The Saint Patrick Branch Association of the TTAVCC manages the affairs of the registered Unit Councils within the Saint Patrick regional area.
The Tobago Branch Association of the TTAVCC manages the affairs of the registered Unit Councils within the Tobago regional area.
The Victoria Branch Association of the TTAVCC manages the affairs of the registered Unit Councils within the Victoria regional area.
The TTAVCC Branch Associations serve as a point-of-contact between the administration and the politically elected Local Government Councilors and Central Government Parliamentarians. This involves facilitating communication between these two groups, ensuring that information is shared effectively, and helping to coordinate joint initiatives.
Additionally, the Branch Associations may also establish a formal line-of-communication with other stakeholders operating within a specific region, these include private and public service organizations such as the TTPS, TTFS, Health and Educational Authorities, Religious Institutions, registered NPO’s, SME’s, Corporate Entities, and regional boards.
The TTAVCC Branch Associations are committed to representing every creed and race in their respective communities. This involves ensuring that all members of the community have a voice, promoting inclusivity and diversity, and working to address any issues or concerns that may arise.
With this in mind, the TTAVCC Branch Associations are accepting of every religious denomination. This means that they welcome members from all faiths, respect their beliefs, and strive to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable practicing their religion.
As per the National Constitution of the TTAVCC, all Branch Associations are legally and constitutionally bound to be non-political in nature. This means that they do not engage in partisan politics or take sides in political debates. Instead, they focus on serving their communities and promoting their development.
The Trinidad and Tobago Association of Village and Community Councils (TTAVCC) is a constitutionally mandated national regulatory organization that supports Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Trinidad and Tobago.
