About the

Trinidad and Tobago Association of Village and Community Councils

Service Before Self

Established since 1959

The Trinidad and Tobago Association of Village and Community Councils (TTAVCC)’s story is one of unity, service, and dedication to improving life in their communities. We work tirelessly to promote cultural, recreational, educational, spiritual, social, and economic activities that benefit all members of their communities.

Our Goals and Objectives

Serving Our Nation's Communities for over a Decade!

Our commitment to supporting developing, and preserving the communities of Trinidad and Tobago shows our dedication to creating a better future for generations to come.

The TTAVCC pools the resources of the community with those of other communities towards national and regional achievement. We monitor and where appropriate undertake the provision of services including works for the maintenance of the community’s infrastructure and facilities.

The TTAVCC also fosters the protection and enhancement of the environment by assisting in preserving the natural habitat of man, animals, plants, and marine life without pollution, continuously promoting sustainable development.

We establish a line of communication with the national audience of Regional Branches, Village/Community Councils, and the general public as a non-political, non-partisan national organization.

We focus on and raise the population’s awareness about issues that are national in scope and can affect the lives of all of our citizens. As such, TTAVCC has made a commitment to promote healthy life styles. To this end we will partner with all individuals and organizations with similar goals.

We educate and share with the population, including the Diaspora, the goals and objectives of TTAVCC with respect to the sustainable development of our communities. TTAVCC has a rich history of over 50 years of experience in national community development. It is important that every citizen be afforded the opportunity to access and become a part of the country's future.
